Warning. Reading this may cause your lemon essential oil usage to increase and consumption of apples too

I usually soak fruits in water with a few drops of lemon essential oil or with thieves household cleaner, to wash off all pesticides and dirt that are on the skin.

Today I tried something different. Usually after I cut apples, I will soak them in salt water for a while, so the cut apples will not oxidize. Today, I added a few drops of lemon essential oil to the salt water. The apples has a nice lemony fresh scent and tasted sweeter. My hubby who usually dun eat apples, is full of praise and ate a fair bit too.

Stop And Smell The Roses

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

So, one day my girlfriend and me were in a “I miss you” girlie hug, and she commented that I smelt so good. She said she smelt Rose fragrance on me, and asked where did I apply my fragrance.

My answer to her was, I applied some on my neck and on my hair. But actually I was toooooo shy to say, I applied the essential oil on my underarms. That’s why the fragrance was especially strong when I opened my arms (and underarms) to hug her. 😝And I applied Geranium essential oil that day. This is how similar Geranium and Rose fragrance are.

At the time of writing, my 3 favorite and most regularly used essential oil for fragrance (and go freshen my underarms 😂) are Geranium, Lady Sclareol and Sensation.

Com’on, join me to be a walking rose. 🌹

Quick summary of their uses

Geranium

  • Supports the female hormonal system.
  • Natural aphrodisiac
  • Excellent for skin to give you the healthy glow.
  • A happy oil that uplift your mood.

Lady Sclareol

  • Alluring scent that inspires romance
  • Natural aphrodisiac
  • Uplift your mood
  • Excellent for skin. It contains so many single oils that are for skin health
  • Supports the female hormonal system

  • Arousing scent

Idaho Balsam Fir

Hello! I am Irene! With knowledge, there is empowerment, so here I am to share with you my oily experiences! For more of my posts, please check out my Facebook page!

It is like bringing the whole forest of fir trees to your little bottle. Though I am clueless as to how an actual fir tree smell like, taking a whiff of Balsam Fir gives me that feeling that I have always known the alpine forest.

With many oils out there, why do we need Balsam Fir?

Because it improves the efficiency of a healthy lung. We know the importance of deep breathing – to increase oxygen in our body for optimal wellness. My mom works in the library and she pushes trolleys of books and rushes around to arrange the books in order. The weight and the mountain of books to arrange leaves her exhausted and breathless at the end of every working day. Her TCM physician said she is just stressed. When we are rushing day to day, we do not breathe as deeply. After giving my mom Balsam Fir, it helps her to relax as well as supports her lungs to function more efficiently when she is burnt out at work.

When my boys recover from coughs, I will apply Balsam Fir to maintain their well-being by improving the breathing. On top of supporting the respiratory system, it soothes my over-worked muscles from dancing and chores. It has also eased my lower back ache due to Aunt Flow.

The refreshing woody scent is the reason why I always feel calm and grounded whenever I use on the boys or myself, just like being in nature.

Its scent is also the reason why it can uplift my spirits on a moody day.

As I inhale and write this, I am compelled to do deep breathing exercises just before I retire for the night. Goodnight!

Bergamot For Money

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

I have shared in my Facebook group and with my organization, that Bergamot essential oil brings money. Here’s the earlier post.

My dear friend, Connie Wong, shared her testimonial with me recently. So she applied Bergamot essential oil on a special $50 note and kept in her wallet. And the number of $50 notes grows, while she just use $10 notes in her wallet.
Before you imagine $50 flying into her wallet or the note just magically magnify. It’s not that.  The magical properties work in a way that people may give you cash, because they owe you money, you sell off off stuffs that you do not need, you pick up cash or the husband blessed you with more spending money.
Will you try this? And share with me how it worked for you?

How Our Bodies Respond To EOs

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

I saw this article on how essential oils work on 21drops.com

1 2

Essential oils can help alter our physical, mental and emotional well-being by triggering and strengthening our bodies’ own natural processes. They are made up of tiny molecules that can deliver healing properties to the systems that control our physiological state.

The best way for the body to absorb the therapeutic components of essential oils is a combination of inhalation through the olfactory system of the nose and absorption through the surface of the skin

Inhalation

When essential oils are inhaled through the nose, tiny nerves send an immediate signal to the brain and go straight to work on the systems that moderate our minds and bodies.

Inhalation can be the most direct delivery method of these incredibly nurturing components in essential oils, since the chemical messengers in the nasal cavity have direct access to the brain.

Topical application

When essential oils are applied to the skin, their healing components are absorbed into the bloodstream by the pores and hair follicles. Once inside the bloodstream, they disperse to the specific organs and systems on which they work. Pulse points are the areas of the body where blood vessels are closest to the skin’s surface. Applying essential oils to these areas allows for quicker absorption and help them get to work faster. We suggest applying to the wrists, temples and back of the neck.

Think about it like watering a plant: you hydrate the soil because that’s where the roots are to absorb the nutrients. You wouldn’t get the same effect if you just watered the leaves or flowers. We deliberately designed our essential oil blends to be most effective through a combination of inhalation and topical application. Each blend has recommended usage and application instructions that you can find on its individual product page.

Oops! I Made A Boohoo!

You all know both Transformation essential oil and Lavender essential oils have lovely purple labels? So well, I wanted to diffuse Transformation essential oil in the office, but got the wrong purple oil. Now my work-area has a lovely peaceful Lavender scent, pray nobody prays asleep. And if anyone does, pray nobody will associate it to my Lavender essential oil.

So why did I want to diffuse Transformation essential oil. I’ve been assigned to take on a new role and new project. The first piece of work for that change just came in, and I felt so reluctant and unwilling. And I need some Transformation oil to support my conscious mind to make the necessary changes.

Transformation essential oil helps to stimulate one’s mind and strengthen one’s resolve when dealing with difficult decisions, especially when related to a change in attitude or a change in one’s belief system.

So I shall apply Transformation essential oil on my forehead and over heart, while inhaling Lavender. I will transform calmly and peacefully.

If you like to know more my oils protocol to support change, have a read at my earlier post.

Steffie’s Top 3 Oils

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

I’ve been tagged to do my top 3 oils, and they are Lavender, RC and White Angelica.

I’ll start with RC and this is one of the first few oils I started using. I’ve sinus issues so I always have a bottle of RC with me and I will be applying it consistently throughout the day. My children always complain of blocked noses when they sleep in air-conditioned rooms, so this is an oil that we apply every night. If I ever run out of RC or if I forgot to bring it along when we are travelling, then we will really be in trouble as they will not be able to sleep.

I will usually take a drop of RC, and apply it on my neck and chest, as well as on my sinuses, which is on the sides of the nose, the nose bridge, under the nose and on the forehead. For my kids, I will take a drop and apply it on just their necks and chest. I’ve attached a roller fitment on the bottle of RC, so my kids can help themselves when they need it.

My second oil is Lavender, which is also known as the swiss army knife of essential oils. With young children around, we get a lot of accidents, or I might burn my hand. So I always bring Lavender around, and I will drip it straight on the area of concern should anything happen.

Lavender is also very good for relaxation and sleep, I like to take a drop and apply it on pillows to help us sleep better. This is also known as an adaptogen, so when I don’t feel right, like how I’m nervous doing this broadcast now, I will apply some Lavender to help to calm me down. Sometimes, I get frustrated at work if there’s too much happening, I will just apply Lavender for that.

Lavender is also a great beauty oil, just add a drop to your beauty routine, it will help enhance your skin and complexion. Like how I have a pimple here now, I will apply a drop of Lavender first before I apply my moisturiser. I also made a DIY toner with Lavender as a main ingredient, I will share about the toner in my beauty post!

My third favourite oil is White Angelica, it is very good for cleansing negative energies. I am pretty sensitive to my surroundings. I’ve shared some stories with those who know me personally, how when I go house-hunting, just by stepping into a house, I can immediately sense if someone has recently died in the house.

This is an oil that I always bring with me when I travel especially since on the flight, there will always be people who are nervous, whether it’s their first time flying or because it’s a long flight. I will apply a drop on my crown and on my shoulders to protect my aura, so that people with negative energies will not affect me.

The moment I get into my hotel room, I will get out my diffuser and start diffusing White Angelica because I want to cleanse whatever negative energies that has been left in the room by the previous occupants.

If your kids are crying uncontrollably at night, I would apply White Angelica as there could be something around the house that’s affecting them, or perhaps some negative energy has been attached to them. That’s when I would apply White Angelica, again on the crown and shoulders.

For me, I engage in lot of discussions at work, and sometimes I feel pretty negative about some of them. That’s when I would apply White Angelica. Sometimes you get people fighting during meetings, that’s where negative energies will grow, so that all that negative energies will not get attached to me. Again, I would apply it to my crown and shoulders, or you can also take a drop and coat your aura, which is about a couple of inches off your body.

Those are my 3 oils! I will be tagging Connie, Farhan and Elaine to do the challenge as well. Thank you for staying with me and bye bye!
