Idaho Balsam Fir

Hello! I am Irene! With knowledge, there is empowerment, so here I am to share with you my oily experiences! For more of my posts, please check out my Facebook page!

It is like bringing the whole forest of fir trees to your little bottle. Though I am clueless as to how an actual fir tree smell like, taking a whiff of Balsam Fir gives me that feeling that I have always known the alpine forest.

With many oils out there, why do we need Balsam Fir?

Because it improves the efficiency of a healthy lung. We know the importance of deep breathing – to increase oxygen in our body for optimal wellness. My mom works in the library and she pushes trolleys of books and rushes around to arrange the books in order. The weight and the mountain of books to arrange leaves her exhausted and breathless at the end of every working day. Her TCM physician said she is just stressed. When we are rushing day to day, we do not breathe as deeply. After giving my mom Balsam Fir, it helps her to relax as well as supports her lungs to function more efficiently when she is burnt out at work.

When my boys recover from coughs, I will apply Balsam Fir to maintain their well-being by improving the breathing. On top of supporting the respiratory system, it soothes my over-worked muscles from dancing and chores. It has also eased my lower back ache due to Aunt Flow.

The refreshing woody scent is the reason why I always feel calm and grounded whenever I use on the boys or myself, just like being in nature.

Its scent is also the reason why it can uplift my spirits on a moody day.

As I inhale and write this, I am compelled to do deep breathing exercises just before I retire for the night. Goodnight!

Steffie’s Top 3 Oils

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

I’ve been tagged to do my top 3 oils, and they are Lavender, RC and White Angelica.

I’ll start with RC and this is one of the first few oils I started using. I’ve sinus issues so I always have a bottle of RC with me and I will be applying it consistently throughout the day. My children always complain of blocked noses when they sleep in air-conditioned rooms, so this is an oil that we apply every night. If I ever run out of RC or if I forgot to bring it along when we are travelling, then we will really be in trouble as they will not be able to sleep.

I will usually take a drop of RC, and apply it on my neck and chest, as well as on my sinuses, which is on the sides of the nose, the nose bridge, under the nose and on the forehead. For my kids, I will take a drop and apply it on just their necks and chest. I’ve attached a roller fitment on the bottle of RC, so my kids can help themselves when they need it.

My second oil is Lavender, which is also known as the swiss army knife of essential oils. With young children around, we get a lot of accidents, or I might burn my hand. So I always bring Lavender around, and I will drip it straight on the area of concern should anything happen.

Lavender is also very good for relaxation and sleep, I like to take a drop and apply it on pillows to help us sleep better. This is also known as an adaptogen, so when I don’t feel right, like how I’m nervous doing this broadcast now, I will apply some Lavender to help to calm me down. Sometimes, I get frustrated at work if there’s too much happening, I will just apply Lavender for that.

Lavender is also a great beauty oil, just add a drop to your beauty routine, it will help enhance your skin and complexion. Like how I have a pimple here now, I will apply a drop of Lavender first before I apply my moisturiser. I also made a DIY toner with Lavender as a main ingredient, I will share about the toner in my beauty post!

My third favourite oil is White Angelica, it is very good for cleansing negative energies. I am pretty sensitive to my surroundings. I’ve shared some stories with those who know me personally, how when I go house-hunting, just by stepping into a house, I can immediately sense if someone has recently died in the house.

This is an oil that I always bring with me when I travel especially since on the flight, there will always be people who are nervous, whether it’s their first time flying or because it’s a long flight. I will apply a drop on my crown and on my shoulders to protect my aura, so that people with negative energies will not affect me.

The moment I get into my hotel room, I will get out my diffuser and start diffusing White Angelica because I want to cleanse whatever negative energies that has been left in the room by the previous occupants.

If your kids are crying uncontrollably at night, I would apply White Angelica as there could be something around the house that’s affecting them, or perhaps some negative energy has been attached to them. That’s when I would apply White Angelica, again on the crown and shoulders.

For me, I engage in lot of discussions at work, and sometimes I feel pretty negative about some of them. That’s when I would apply White Angelica. Sometimes you get people fighting during meetings, that’s where negative energies will grow, so that all that negative energies will not get attached to me. Again, I would apply it to my crown and shoulders, or you can also take a drop and coat your aura, which is about a couple of inches off your body.

Those are my 3 oils! I will be tagging Connie, Farhan and Elaine to do the challenge as well. Thank you for staying with me and bye bye!

Norce’s Top 3 Oils

Hello! My name is Norce, your writer for today! Often mistaken as a secondary student but actually a mom of 2 young children. For more of my posts, please check out my blog or my Indonesian Facebook page!

I’ve been a Young Living user for about 20 months now. You know, among our oiler friends, sometimes we will ask each other, “if you could only choose 1 oil, what would it be?” That’s a real hard question for us, because we love our oils and why would we choose only 1!

So today, for the sake of fun, Winnie Fannon, Faith Teo, Deny Sentosa and I are doing this fun challenge where if we could only choose 3 oils, what would they be? For me, the oils that I’ve chosen are Eucalyptus Blue, Lemongrass and Idaho Blue Spruce.

Eucalyptus Blue is one of my very first oils from Young Living, together with Idaho Blue Spruce. I use it mainly to support my kids’ respiratory systems. I use it every night, just 1-2 drops on my palm, rubbing it 3 times and then rubbing it on their soles before letting it rest for a few seconds. And because their feet are clean, I use the excess oil on their chest too, and I inhale the rest.

The second oil is Lemongrass. Lemongrass is no secret amongst Indonesian oilers, it’s good to support the digestive system and it helps to increase appetite in some people. For my kids, I use it after Eucalyptus Blue, in the same way by taking 1-2 drops on my palm, rub together and apply on their soles. I let it rest for a while, then I apply the rest on their tummies.

If you haven’t heard before, Eucalyptus Blue with Lemongrass is great for supporting your immune system. If you heard about what Melissa can do, these 2 together are comparable to Melissa. And if you love Thieves, these 2 can do what Thieves can do for your immune systems as well.

The last oil is Idaho Blue Spruce, it has the highest frequency of all oils at around 580 MHz. Usually I mix 3-4 drops in epsom salts, and soak my kids in the bath tub for 10-20 minutes. Because of its high frequency, whenever you are feeling low physically or emotionally, this is good to use, as it helps to bring your frequency back up again.

I also like to anoint the crown of their heads with Idaho Blue Spruce or apply it on their spines.

Those are my 3 oils! I’m waiting for Deny Sentosa, Faith Teo and Winnie Fannon to share what are their 3 oils. Thank you and bye bye!

Eucalyptus Blue + Lemongrass = MELISSA (almost!)

Hello! This is Steffie, your forever 25 years old vainpot writer, who loves to share my daily adventures using Young Living products. To read more about my adventures, check out my Facebook group or email me at mailsteffie@yahoo.com.sg.

Didi is under the weather. Bad timing! School reopens coming Monday! Have been oiling him with RC, Peppermint and Melrose to help support his respiratory system.

Diffusing a mixture of Eucalyptus Blue essential oil and Lemongrass essential oil in our bedroom to for power air cleansing.

I was told that diffusing a mixture of Eucalyptus Blue essential oil and Lemongrass essential oil is almost the equivalent of Melissa essential oil.

Do you know that Melissa essential oil is one of the best oil for cleansing the air? While Eucalyptus Blue essential oil and Lemongrass essential oil are also the top few oils for cleansing air?
