I Woke Up On The Wrong Side Of Bed

3 days ago, I literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

I sat up and rotated my neck and right shoulder. Yikes. They hurt. My head hurts too. Have you ever slept in an awkward position and felt terrible when you wake up? Yup that’s me. With night nursing and co-sleeping with a baby who likes to sleep spreadeagle, sometimes I wake up literally at the edge of the bed. KING SIZED bed. -__-||

I fumbled around and took out Deep Relief. Rolled on my shoulders. Look at it in disgust. EMPTY! Gah. Hunted for Panaway. Bua liberal amount on my neck and shoulders… aaah… a little better… but hasn’t hit the spot yet. Peppermint! Apply apply. Rub some into my head too. Coolness.

20 mins later, I felt better. Stiff still, a slight throbbing in my head but at least I can start cooking breakfast.

Later in the day, I applied more Panaway and Peppermint. Took Sulfurzyme. Spied OrthoEase massage oil. Applied some. Raindropped my kiddos and conveniently sneaked some Wintergreen on me.

With each oil applied, I felt better and better. And I thought I may as well compose a short list what can support your muscles, ligaments and nerves too if something similar happened to you:

  1. Panaway
  2. Deep Relief
  3. Lemongrass (supports circulation and ligaments)
  4. Peppermint
  5. Wintergreen (dilute if too hot or use OrthoEase or OrthoSport)
  6. Ortho Ease massage oil
  7. Ortho Sports massage oil
  8. Stress Away (great for tight muscles induced by stress)
  9. Valor
  10. Lavender
  11. Aroma Siez
  12. Cypress
  13. Basil (dilute if too hot)
  14. Clove (dilute if too hot)
  15. Balsam Fir
  16. Palo Santo
  17. Majoram
  18. Cool Azul Sports Gel

And the list goes on and on and on!

I hope my story encourages you to experiment with different oils. 🙂 And of course, see a medical practitioner if something doesn’t feel right. Honour your instinct.

Have a great week ahead!
