Rose

I remember when I was a teenager, I would go gaga over the lovey dovey couples out there and stare in envy at the ladies’ bouquets of roses! To me, roses mean LOVE LOVE LOVE to the max!

As I get older, I still do love roses but heart pain when the hubs give me roses on Valentine’s Day! I’ll like to buy myself roses too as an expression of how much I love myself!

Do you know that the YL Rose is not distilled from the regular roses we see at the florist? The breed is called Rosa Damascena and it looks like the photo below!

I actually can’t bear to open my Rose bottle but Jon taught me to use and enjoy! He’s also very generous. Wherever he goes, he shares his Rose and you can see the happiness and glow on people’s faces.

Here’s some beautiful suggestions for a beautiful oil from Jon and I. Enjoy!

  1. Add 1 to 2 drops to a glass bottle then add witch hazel (optional) and distilled water. This makes a very lovely facial spritzer and it’s what we have made for our teams for last year’s Christmas. ❤❤
  2. Rose can uplift your emotions and spirit AND it can keep you warm in cold places.
  3. Diffuse Rose in a room. You will find the smell linger LONG AFTER the diffusing finishes.
  4. Because it clocks at a whopping 320 Mhz, Rose brings harmony and balance to ALL CELLS and raise your vibrations. When one feels sad or upset, it can feel sluggish and heavy. Use Rose!
  5. Applying Rose at the back of both your knees create a fragrance bubble around you.
  6. Take a wine decanter (those wide bottom flasks preferably, otherwise regular glass bottles are ok) then add 3 drops rose and top up with water. Let it sit overnight. Then drink!
  7. When your bottle is half empty, top up with more water but skip Rose. You can do this 3 times and the water will still taste and smell very rosy!
  8. Cranky child? Dab a little rose on him. We found that it calms Sol very quickly and reduces his crying bouts too. ‪#‎sibehawesome
  9. Men! U want some *ahem* today? Try massaging your love with a little Rose and carrier oil! *winks*

Lady Sclareol for Self Love

Do you ever have oils that you’ve gotten for some reason or another and BARELY use them?

One of the oils that I hardly use (besides Sacred Mountain ahem) was Lady Sclareol. I’ve heard how seductive, how alluring, how feminine the smell is but for some reason, I never felt that I needed it. And the irony was that I have 2 bottles FREE as one of the Young Living promos!

3 days ago, I chanced upon both bottles and I suddenly thought. “Ok lah ok lah, I better use them up, otherwise waste!”

I diffused 9 drops in my study and didn’t think further about it. But something interesting happened.

If you know me, I’m UBER critical of myself. In one of my video broadcasts for Mother’s Day, I talked about the oil Forgiveness because I felt that it was so important to work on being gentle and loving with myself vs blaming myself for “why didn’t I do that?’ or “it’s my fault that…”.

As I was doing my work, the familiar feeling of being critical with myself came again. But suddenly I shoved the feeling away! A voice inside me said, “Ok that’s enough. You did the best you can with the best intentions you have.”

The 180 degrees change in thought astonished me and for the past 2 days I was wondering what happened that triggered the change. Was there any books I have read, conversations I have with people… and suddenly lightbulb moment! The only new thing I’ve done was diffusing Lady Sclareol.

I checked my mobile app Reference Guide for Essential Oils under Love and there it is… Lady Sclareol. I’ve always thought that oils like Joy and Forgiveness are wondrous for self love and here is another. 🙂

I will be using a lot more of this oil from now on.

There’s No Smell In My Flowers

I thought in celebration of Valentine’s Day, I would write this cheeky post. 😀 And regardless whether you do get flowers, whether you are part of a couple, enjoy Valentine’s Day. Love yourself!

BUT THERE’S NO SMELL IN MY FLOWERS!

Have you realised that our flowers from the florists nowadays don’t really smell erm, flowery? Especially with Valentine’s Day coming up. ‪#‎truestory

Wish that you could have your home smells like a meadow of flowers? Or when you sniff the bouquet that your love gave you, that the floral fragrance suffuse you and you go into a romantic haze?

NOW YOU CAN with this lovely diffusing recipe from Pei Jansen‪#‎teeheehee

“I’ve been recommending what I call the Floral Bouquet diffusing recipe to my girlish friends on weekends in the living room. They love it! That’s 3 drops Lavender, 2 drops Geranium, 1 drop Ylang ylang.”

I’ve tried it and while I thought it would be like “overpowering floral”, it wasn’t! It’s a light flowery fragrance, like as though you are strolling through a meadow of flowers, dancing in the wind, and can smell beauty and nature mixed together. Or having English tea with your girlfriends in the gardens, wearing Laura Ashley. #‎imaginationoverload

Let’s take a look at some usages for each oil:

Ylang Ylang

Traditionally this is the flower that is strewn over the newlywed bed on wedding night! It also helps one to balance the male and female energies within, supports better focus by spiritual attunement and filters out garbage from the mind.

Geranium

Releases negative memories and take us back to peaceful, joyful moments. It balances our emotions and relieves stress and tension. Interestingly it also supports the liver and blood by releasing the toxins and improving circulation.

Lavender

Oh powerful Lavender! Lavender is a universal oil that has traditionally been known to balance the body and to work wherever there is a need. If in doubt, use lavender.

And of course if you want to learn the full potential of these oils, please check out your eo resources too!
